151. Montecristo Linea 1935 Leyenda

Gifted by a friend.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily, silky smooth wrapper with tiny veins.

Construction: A little softer feeling but still a good feel overall.

Cold draw: Cedarwood and milk chocolate.

1st third: Starts of with a dry cedarwood note and a creamy milk chocolate sweetness with a hint of cinnamon spice in the background.

2nd third: Keeps the same smooth notes from previous part.

The burn: Burns slowly and a little wonky, with a firm gray-ish ash.

Smoke: Light smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge.

3rd third: Gets quite warm towards the end which results in some spicy notes on top of the tounge. Still woody notes, not like cedarwood more like a dry oak. There are also no creamy milk chocolate sweetness left, it’s still creamy but in a way but more nutty. No bitterness which is surprising for a Cuban at the last third.

Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar, perfect as a late afternoon enjoyment. This would match perfectly with a not to sweet rum, smooth cognac or a creamy cappuccino.

Result: In my book this is an 92 point cigar.
