120. Furia Pompeii Red Megaera

Store bought at Sweet’s & Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Darker shade of a milk chocolate wrapper, oily smooth feel with somewhat protruding veins.

Construction: Firm even feel.

Cold draw: Hay notes overall.

1st third: Dark chocolate, earthy and oak notes.

2nd third: Slight iron notes, but keeps previous flavors.

The burn: Burns very slowly, steady and sharp burn. Firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge. The draw is very tough.

3rd third: Black pepper spicy notes, still the same iron notes as before and the dark chocolate notes.

Conclusion: This is definitely a full body cigar, heavy dark notes. Not a cigar for the regular cuban smoker. The iron notes, wasn’t a pleasant experience in my opinion.

Result: In my book this is a 85 point cigar.
