Size: 7.3×57, Salomones.
Wrapper: Coffee bean brown, oily and smooth texture with tiny veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and a little uneven feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Oakwood and curry.
1st third: Starts with oak barrel aged fruity red wine, raspberry, nutmeg, roasted chestnuts, lightly toasted pine nuts and white pepper.
2nd third: Notes of raisins take over the raspberry note and 70% dark chocolate steps forward otherwise unchanged.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and fairly stable white-ish ash
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: Keeps on the level flavourwise from the previous parts just with a tweak up in spice levels.
Duration: 17:00-18:30, 1h 30min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile. Very flavourful and sturdy smoking experience.
Result: In my book this is a 92 point cigar.
