Wrapper: Chestnut brown, smooth texture with small veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Nutmeg, dried fruit, Brazil nuts and earthy sweetness.
1st third: Start with a buttered toasted farm bread, Brazil nut, earthy sweetness and a mix of dried stone fruits.
2nd third: A whipped cream quality of the mouth feel is introduced in this part.
Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white-ish ash.
Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: Well balanced flavours throughout, unchanged from previous parts.
Duration: 21:25-22:35, 1h 10min.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Good complexity and good balance, it’s a different style than what the brand has put out before.
Result: In my book this is a 90 point cigar.
