Size: 9.2×47, Gran Corona ‘A’
Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, oily and silky smooth texture with tiny veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Light hay and cacao notes.
1st third: Starts with gingerbread, cacao nibs, toasted brioche buns, brown sugar and a light oakwood finish.
2nd third: The cacao turns to a chocolaty hazelnut spread on a well toasted brioche bread, while retaining most of the previously mentioned flavours. Towards the second third of the second third notes of coconut shell gets introduced.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white-ish ash.
Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: While not changing much towards the end it opens up with sweet floral notes giving it a breath of freshness to end it off.
Duration: 09:45-12:15, 2h 30min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Complex flavours while well balanced from start to finish.
Result: In my book this is a 94 point cigar.
