Box: Only ever seen it in singles.
Release: Never been released, first time I got one was in 2024.
Availability: This cigar is only gifted to very important people to the J.C. Newman Family. They don’t sell it in this size, but the blend can be enjoyed in 6 other regular production sizes.
Size: 6.5×42, Lonsdale.
Wrapper: Chestnut brown, oily and smooth texture with small veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Chinese oolong tea and a light cedarwood note.
1st third: Starts with a light digestive biscuit, oolong grean tea sweet tones.
2nd third: Continues inline with the flavours from part one, with additional notes of light cedarwood and honey covered almond french nougat.
Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white-ish ash.
Smoke: Medium light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: Notes of cinnamon and the cedarwood notes step forward, dark roasted coffee and those digestive biscuits are a steady note throughout.
Duration: 17:00-19:00, 2h.
Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Very enjoyable complex flavours throughout.
Result: In my book this is a 93 point cigar.
