Size: 6.5×50, Toro.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, oily and smooth texture with small veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Chestnuts and cinnamon sticks.
1st third: Starts with cream filled eclair, cacao, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, roasted chestnuts and light wood.
2nd third: Brown sugar and sandalwood notes are added to the previous flavours, enjoyable and well balanced it’s the words for this part.
Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: Slight pepper spice added, otherwise unchanged.
Duration: 15:00-17:00, 2h.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Smooth and well balanced flavours, of the two sizes the Robusto brought more complexity than this Toro.
Result: In my book this is a 92 point cigar.
