931. PDR el Vinyet Cuvée Especial Robusto Clasico 52

Gifted by PDR Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Binder: Indonesia
Filler: Dominican Republic Habano & USA Pennsylvania Broadleaf
Origin: Dominican Republic

Factory: PDR (Dominican Republic)
Box: Sold in 10 count boxes.
Release: 2023
Availability: Limited Production.

Size: 5×52, Robusto.

Wrapper: Chestnut brown, oily and smooth texture with small veins.

Construction: Firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Sandalwood and earthy sweetness.

1st third: Savoury bread, earthy and nutty.

2nd third: Slight ginger spice added, but I mostly had problems with it going out.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white-ish ash. In the second part it just went out, had to cut off the charcoal bit.

Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a tight draw.

3rd third: No change whatsoever.

Duration: 18:45-20:35, 1h 50min.

Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. Tight draw, hard to keep it lit and no complexity. It’s no fun at all. This is probably a dud in the production, but until I can get a new one to try this score will stand.

Result: In my book this is a 85 point cigar.
