Size: 5.75×52, Robusto Extra.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, oily but coarse texture feel with small protruding veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Dry cedarwood.
1st third: Starts with a hand full of natural hazelnuts, pecans and almonds, together with vanilla sugar and shortbread, finished with slight dryness of cedarwood.
2nd third: Black pepper spice gets added quite early into the second part, followed by a floral sweetness.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white-ish ash.
Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: Notes of cacao, black pepper take the front seat in this final part, together with some nuttiness, cedarwood and that shortbread sweetness in the background.
Duration: 15:15-16:45, 1h 30min.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Well balanced flavours with a crescendo in the final part.
Result: In my book this is a 91 point cigar.
