593. Empress Robusto Perfection

Gifted by a friend.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Dominican Republic Corojo
Binder: Dominican Republic Habano
Filler: USA Pennsylvanian & Dominican Republic

Size: 5.5×50, Robusto.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily with some protruding veins.

Construction: Fairly firm and even when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Hay and light wood.

1st third: Start with a fresh cut light wood, herbs and peppery spice.

2nd third: Hints of medium roasted coffee are added.

Burn: Burns a little uneven, with a flaky white/gray ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue with a light draw.

3rd third: Continues on the same path, with some bitterness towards the end.

Duration: 16:45-17:50, 1h 5 min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Nothing to special, more of a everyday type of cigar.

Result: In my book this is an 86 point cigar.
