Gifted by Les Drent, owner of Kauai Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Shade Grown Connecticut
Binder: Kauai Shade Grown
Filler: Kauai Shade Grown

Size: 42×5, Laka (Corona).

Wrapper: Nutty, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Fairly firm when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light floral note.

1st third: Starts with a toasted bread, espresso coffee, cinnamon and mahogany.

2nd third: Keeps a consistent flavour profile.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: Well balanced flavours until the very end.

Duration: 13:55-15:15, 1h 25min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Almost didn’t want to stop smoking this cigar, it was so well balanced without getting harsh at the end.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
