Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Honduran Corojo
Filler: Dominican Republic & Honduras
Limited annual production cigar.
Size: 8×44-60, Salomon.
Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Fairly firm when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Wood and hay notes.
1st third: Starts with a note of cacao, black pepper, oakwood and coffee beans.
2nd third: Smoothens out and gets a nutty note added.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a super light draw.
3rd third: Returns to the flavours in part 1.
Duration: 21:45-23:00, 1h 15min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. It started super light on the draw, but got better towards the final third. Overall a enjoyable cigar I most definitely would like to try again in the future.
Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
