351. Rocky Patel Grand Reserve Toro

Supplied by Mellgrens Fine Tobacco.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information:
Unknown blend.
Made in Nicaragua.
Made for the European market, to appease the flavours of Cuban smokers.

Size: 6×52, Toro.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Nutty note.

1st third: Starts with a nutty and light wood note.

2nd third: Gets a light spicy note on the lips and a touch of milk chocolate added to the previous nutty and wooden notes.

Burn: Burns hasty and wonky, with a firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: Looses most of it’s previous flavours, now it’s more wet leaves, some spicy and earthy notes. A definite downfall.

Duration: 18:15-19:25, 1h 10min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 87 point cigar.
