310. Montecristo Montecristo 520 Edicion Limitada 2012

Gifted by a friend.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information:
Montecristo is a current pre-Revolution brand, established in 1935.
The main range comprises medium to full-strength cigars.
All tobacco aged two years.
Dress Box of 10 cigars.

Size: 6.1×55, Robusto Extra (Maravillas No.3).

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Cedarwood.

1st third: Starts with a walnut and cacao combo with a oakwood note in the background.

2nd third: Keeps the flavours.

Burn: Burns a little bit wonky, with a stable and firm gray ash. Had to retouch it with the lighter, to keep it from burning to wonky.

Smoke: Light smoke, with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: No changes.

Duration: 15:20-17:00, 1h 40min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 88 point cigar.
