249. Royal Danish Sangre Azul 2.0

Sponsored by Royal Danish Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information: New blend, so it’s a pre- release blend. Should be tobacco from Nicaragua.

Size: 5×52, Torpedo Boxpressed.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, silky smooth, oily feel with tiny veins.

Construction: A light squeeze gives a feel of firm but still a little giving.

Cold draw: Wheat.

1st third: Starts with a creamy cappuccino note, hints of wood and dark chocolate.

2nd third: The flavours are the same but in opposite order, more dark chocolate, wood and cappuccino in the background.

Burn: Burns sharp, firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Keeps previous flavours from part 2.

Duration: 14:25-15:12, 47 min

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile. Far better than the first version of Sangre Azul released a couple of years ago.

Result: In my book this is an 89 point cigar.
