208. Kafie 1901 Cigars San Andres Robusto Largo

Gifted by Gaby Kafie, owner of Kafie 1901 Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm but still a little giving when lightly squeezed, understandable since it’s boxpressed.

Cold draw: Light wood notes.

1st third: Starts with a sandalwood note combined with cinnamon, and a sweet milk chocolate creaminess that just blends so nicely together.

2nd third: Keeps the same nice flavours with some added spice on the top of the tounge.

The burn: Burns steady and sharp with a white stable but still a little flaky ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge and a light draw.

3rd third: The flavours from part one and two wonders over to the third part nicely, with some earthy notes appearing towards the end.

Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. This cigar reminds me of winter with the spices and the wood notes. I would recommend you sitting in front of an open fire or fireplace, with a hot drink of your choice. Could also be matched by a whisky or a cognac I can imagine.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
