Gifted by Peter Gaudenzi, 1502 Cigars European Market Director.
Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.
Wrapper: Darker milk chocolate, oily with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm but still a little giving when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Earthy sweetness and a light touch of wood.
1st third: Starts with a dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate and a oak wood note, there is a nuttiness in the background aswell.
2nd third: Smoothens out, but keeps previous flavors but not so aggressive on the dark notes.
The burn: Burns steady and sharp with a white stable and firm white ash.
Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge and a light draw.
3rd third: Gets a hint of liquorice, otherwise it keeps the dark coffee and dark chocolate notes. The oak wood notes are there but very far in the background.
Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. An interesting cigar, think it would match beautifully with a cup of coffee or a bourbon.
Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
