193. 1502 Cigars Emerald Robusto

Gifted by Peter Gaudenzi, 1502 Cigars European Market Director.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel.

Cold draw: Cedarwood notes.

1st third: Starts with a nutty sweetness, medium roasted coffee and toasted bread.

2nd third: Keeps the same flavours from part one. Very smooth smoke.

The burn: Burns a little wonky but nothing to dramatic, firm and stable white ash. Burns a bit to hasty.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge and a light draw.

3rd third: Keeps the same smooth flow of flavours.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. A light draw made this cigar burn pretty hasty sadly, I was looking forward to sitting with the cigar a bit longer. Oh well it’s well balanced and a smooth experience. This would be a perfect match with a bourbon, smooth cognac or even an smooth whisky.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
