160. Casdagli Traditional Line Cotton Tail

Store bought at Mellgrens Fine Tobacco.

Location: This review was made outdoors on a beach in Portugal, during an hot sunny day. 32°C.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, silky smooth with tiny veins and a cotton/pig tail.

Construction: Medium feeling, not firm and also not soft, but something in the middle.

Cold draw: Hay, creaminess and wood.

1st third: Medium roasted coffee, light wood notes, almonds and a creamy feeling.

2nd third: Keeps a steady flow of flavours, maybe a hint of a darker wood in the background.

The burn: Firm stable ash with white-gray tones and burns sharp.

Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge.

3rd third: Keeps the same smooth flavours from previous parts. Towards the end it gets darker, like a dark roasted coffee and a dark oak wood.

Conclusion: This is a medium bodied cigar, with medium strength. Should work perfectly with a cup of black coffee or a cappuccino. Also a lighter whisky or a not so sweet rum and most definitely a smooth cognac.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
