Store bought at Mellgrens Fine Tobacco.
Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.
Wrapper: Dark chocolate, rough oily wrapper with slightly protruding veins.
Construction: Fairly even feel, not to firm.
Cold draw: Slightly sweet hay notes.
1st third: Smooth, oak wood notes with a touch of cane sugar and a medium roasted coffee after taste.
2nd third: Keeps the previous flavors plus some hints of leather.
The burn: Fairly sharp, with some slight wonky spots but nothing to dramatic. The ash is mostly stable with some flaky bits.
Smoke: Voluminous and white, with a warm feeling.
3rd third: Gets a little sharp and bitter towards the end sadly, otherwise it keeps the flavours from previous parts.
Conclusion: Good cigar, medium to full flavour wise. Think this will evolve beautifully with some age but still very good at the moment.
Result: In my book this is a 89 point cigar.
